La Paloma to Host Open House Nov. 11
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- La Paloma (formerly Foundations Associates) is hosting an open house on Nov. 11 from 7-9 p.m. The public is invited to attend the event, which will feature a performance by popular comedian Mark Lundhom, whose act features his struggles with addition and recovery.
The 12 acre campus on Lamar Avenue is currently undergoing an extensive $3 million renovation to update the facility and expand its treatment capabilities.
More than 60,000 square feet of space will be renovated at the facility, which was built in 1919. As part of the improvements, at least 16 detox beds will be added and several 16-bed extended stay cottages will be built on three acres of currently undeveloped land on the campus.
"We are thrilled about the progress being made to update our campus, and we are very excited about expanding and enhancing the treatments we can offer individuals who are suffering from co-occuring conditions," said Rob Waggener, chief operations officer for La Paloma and Foundations Associates.
To RSVP, contact Clark Converse (901) 726-6053 ext. 11009.
La Paloma, which means "The Dove," specializes in dual diagnosis treatment of substance abuse and mental health condition, offering detox, residential treatment, partial hospital and intensive outpatient treatment.
