Tennessee Department of Health - The mission of the Tennessee Department of Health is to protect and promote the health of the community. Unlike the personal health care system which focuses on individuals, the Department of Health focuses on the health of the state's entire population. Every day, millions of Tennesseans are protected by thousands of public health measures--many of them invisible--in communities across our state. 

Tennessee Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, Inc. -  (TAADAS)  Our goal is to champion the cause of quality addiction services in Tennessee, and advocate unceasingly for those who still suffer from the ravages of addiction and for the addiction professionals who serve them. Mission: To educate the public and influence state/national policy decisions in order to improve services to those who are affected by alcoholism and/or drug addiction.

Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities - DMHDD is responsible for providing services to individuals with mental illness and mental retardation / developmental disabilities or neurobiological brain disorders. The Department, employees and service partners are committed to providing the highest level of service to individuals and families.

National Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Tennessee - (NAMI Tennessee) A nonprofit, self-help organization of families and friends of persons who have mental illness and consumers of mental health services. We have three regional directors and more than 30 local affiliates across the state to help families develop the understanding, skills, and strengths needed to cope with mental illness. In addition to helping families, we advocate improved research, policy, and law to fight stigma, promote community-based treatment programs, and educate the public about mental illness. We are part of a national network of more than 200,000 NAMI members.

Our Intergroup Association is a partnership among the Middle Tennessee AA groups - just as an AA group is a partnership of individuals. It exists to aid our regional groups in their common purpose of carrying the AA message to the alcoholic who still suffers.
