Overdose Deaths From 2002 to 2014

The number of overdose deaths in the United States continues to rise. While some may think this drug problem is primarily affecting groups of people in larger cities, it’s actually even worse in suburban and rural areas. This chart shows the increase from 2002 to 2014, as well as compares the rates in rural areas to those in large metropolitan areas.
