Heroin vs. Prescription Opioids: Which is Worse?

Prescription opioids are just as deadly as heroin when they are misused. Both heroin and prescription opioids are highly addictive materials. Both drugs alter the brain and cause severe withdrawal symptoms. While there is a greater stigma against heroin use, the sheer amount of individuals who engage in prescription drug abuse has made prescription drugs responsible for half of all overdose deaths in the United States.
